A “Role” is the generic type of signer who will consistently sign your Form. For example, a “Role” can be that of ‘Attorney’ or ‘Client’, and you will then assign a specific person to that “Role” when you actually send the Signature Request.
When you create a Form, you must assign at least one “Role” to it (this is critical to the overall usefulness of the Form). When assigning Roles to a form, it is important to account for all parties who will be signing this Form document.

*NOTE: When creating Forms, DO NOT create a Role for yourself. For authentication reasons, the current version of the software prevents a sender from adding his or herself as a signer until the document is ready to be sent.
